It’s probably safe to say that Jack Wilshere will be glad to see the back of 2015.
The Arsenal midfielder saw a promising start to the year ruined by yet more bad luck with injuries, and it appears his place in England’s fotballdrakter barn Euro 2016 squad is now in serious doubt.
Wilshere fractured his fibula just before the Community Shield against Chelsea and was forced to undergo surgery in September after finding his recovery rather slow.
And with absolutely no sign that the midfielder is ready to step up his comeback Wenger admitted that he has no idea when Wilshere will return to the first-team.
Ahead of today’s match against Bournemouth, the Gunners said via the Evening Standard:
‘I said February but honestly I don’t know.
‘I let Maglietta Bonaventura Bambino him do his recovery. It’s going slowly.
“Once he goes again, goes outside to train, once he is back again into sharp, hard work physically, you count five or six weeks, so at the moment he is not there yet.”
